EDUCATIONAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Paula Noble is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist with over 35 years of experience helping children and families navigate the complexities of growing up. She is skilled in a range of evidence based therapeutic approaches and diagnostic assessment protocols.
Paula began her career as a teacher in classrooms across Australia and Singapore before working as a school psychologist in some of Sydney’s leading independent schools. Working alongside teachers and families, Paula understands how to support kids, parents, and teachers to bring about change which is beneficial to the child. Through counselling, assessments, implementing policy and procedures, and programs such as Cool Kids, Cogmed attention training, and emotion regulation workshops, Paula has provided strategies and tools to help kids successfully navigate the challenges of growing up in both the home and school settings.
Now, working in private practice, Paula brings thirty plus years of experience across classrooms, school counselling, and private practice. She understands the clinical picture and the school picture.
Paula’s skills as a psychologist are complimented with her certification as a play therapist. She is trained to help kids who don’t have the words to express what is going on. A Gottman trained parenting coach, she understands how to educate and support parents to help their kids naviage emotion and behaviour dysregulation. She is trained in all leading evidence-based therpies knowing which one to use for each individuals circumstance.
Paula’s expertise as a teacher, psychologist, parent and grandparent provides her insight, understanding, and wisdom when working along side families and schools to help kids and teens navigate the growing up years. She is dedicated to helping kids and their families thrive, not just survive.
